A brief FAQ (Updated September 14, 2023)

Question: Money? I like money. What’s it for?

Answer: Broadly figured, it’s meant for study abroad in “our region.”

🐻

Q. Money? I like money. Who can get it?

A. ESPECIALLY Stetson students majoring in SPREES, but other Stetson students may apply.

🐻

Q. Money? I like money. How can I get it?

A. You have to apply for it.

Application Process: Write at least 500 words explaining how the program you have selected will benefit your career at Stetson and beyond; how this experience will help you in achieving long-term career goals (be specific); and how your personal and professional experiences will make you a good candidate for this scholarship. Remember, these are competitive awards. We are looking for thoughtful, polished essays that link clearly the student’s need to travel and their future plans. Remember, one essay per award. Be specific, clear, and concise. If you apply for both the Disney and the Knight, you will need TWO essays. Note they are different awards, so your essay should reflect that difference.

Submit your application essay(s) along with your CV (resume) to

Q. Any advice on the essays?

A. We read them. They should be well written, clear, concise. If you’re studying on an SRAS program, it is HIGHLY SUGGESTED that you consult the website, figure out the program, read up on the program, and explain why you are studying what you’re studying and why.
