Each group will be given a set of questions to guide their section. You'll have 20-25 minutes to work together, after which each group will present their portion of the job ad to the class. At the end, we will combine all the sections into a complete job ad for Mother of a Child.
Group 1: Job Title, Location, and Schedule
You are responsible for defining the basic framework of the job: what the position is called, where the job is located, and what kind of schedule it requires.
- Job Title: What would be the official job title? Consider the formal or more creative names for this role.
- Location: Where is the job performed? (e.g., in-home, multiple locations)
- Work Hours: How many hours per week does this position require? Is it part-time, full-time, or something else?
- Shift Type: Are there fixed hours, flexible hours, or is the role on-call?
- Days Worked: Does this position require work on weekends, holidays, or after regular business hours?
Group 2: Qualifications and Experience
Your group will develop the minimum requirements and qualifications needed for the job. Consider educational background, necessary skills, and relevant experience.
- Minimum Education: What level of education is required (if any)? High school, college degree, specialized training?
- Experience: How many years of relevant experience are needed for this position? (e.g., experience in caregiving or managing schedules)
- Skills: What are the essential skills for success in this role? (e.g., multitasking, communication, conflict resolution)
